UAE: hospitality industry trends

This short survey we conducted on the UAE hospitality industry trends reveals several key insights. 

There is a noticeable increase in mental health awareness recognition. 

Secondly, the number of females in management position is rapidly increasing. In early 2023, a study has shown that the UAE was ranked as a leading country in gender equality in the Middle East region, with women making up 66% of public sector workers and 30% in leadership roles.

There is, however, a slight decrease in salary packages offer. Rumour has it that almost 75 per cent of business leaders who responded to a recent national salary guide survey said they plan to reward staff for their hard work over the past 12 months. The top of the board is the Banking industry. The Supply Chain sector comes at 8th place, Investment Management at 9th place and the hospitality and catering industry at 13th place.

Lastly, Maintenance 4.0 is the buzzword for anyone dealing with maintenance management. In short, this describes increasing efficiency and reshaping the future of maintenance as this sector is increasing in significance and this should shorten scheduled and prevent unscheduled downtimes.

Overall, the UAE service industry is evolving to meet the demands of an increasingly conscious and tech-savvy consumer base, while prioritizing sustainability and health in a post-pandemic world.
