Senior Spirits Buyer – North London, OTE 100k plus

Location: North London

Salary: OTE 100k plus

(MUST BE IN A SPIRITS BUYERS ROLE TO APPLY, 3 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE)

We are working with a smaller but growing, UK based wine and spirits supplier, who’s key driving factor is to help and maintain building strong relationships with the core customers, assist with producers and brands to drive the business forward

As Spirits Buyer for this client, you will responsible for defining, negotiating, purchasing, promoting and carefully managing the 360 part of this role, the point of this role is to offer the customers through the shops, website and direct to private clients

  • What you will do Purchasing Responsibility for defining the spirits offering and ensuring the outstanding quality of range expected by discerning customers
  • Expected to source and negotiate commercial terms for the purchasing of private client spirits
  • Identifying commercial opportunities with spirits suppliers and brands
  • Stock Holding Management Responsible for all spirits stock held for Private Clients
  • Ensure the stock holding is managed efficiently, available on-time, and all purchases made are commercially astute with existing or planned routes to market
  • Driving Spirits Growth and share the strategy and plan to drive spirits sales and engagement through key private client channels, including online, shops and direct to private clients.
  • Pricing, Promotions & Content Work with suppliers to build a plan of funded retail spirits promotions to drive retail customer engagement in our spirits range and drive long term profitable growth
  • Demonstrated passion for bringing spirits to life in a business and inspiring sales teams to grow a category
  • Experience in tasting and evaluating spirits
  • Appreciation for how product needs to be sold to customers, always considering the selling approach when making buying decisions
  • Well-organised and relishes building and coordinating a plan
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Excellent excel skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
