Executive Chef, High volume Conference and Events Venue
Salary: £55,000
Location: Birmingham
Predominantly Monday to Friday
We are looking for a highly talented Executive Chef with experience leading and nurturing a team in a high-volume conference and events venue or hotel. A resilient, creative, and innovative chef, one where food is at the forefront of what you do, and this filters down through your team. You will have a fantastic eye for detail and be up to date with food trends. Someone who is astute in compliance, health and safety, food hygiene and all due diligence.
About the role:
- A variety of different functions predominantly Monday to Friday catering for between 100 – 300.
- Client facing, to develop the menu and create new and exciting dishes.
- Stock control, ordering and wastage management.
- Full P&L accountability.
- Purchasing and menu costing.
- Running the day-to-day kitchen operation.
- Scheduling and labour cost control.
- Leading a team of 9.
Skills and Experience:
- Stable CV with previous experience catering for conferences and events/ hotel background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Well organised and hard working.
- Professional, can-do attitude.
