Executive Chef – Japanese Restaurant

Salary: $150,000

Location: New York, NY

My client is a prestigious, thriving international restaurant group planning to unveil a new location in New York. This presents an exhilarating opportunity for an individual passionate about spearheading culinary operations within a successful establishment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain their reputation for culinary excellence
  • Hire, train, and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to achieve high standards of culinary skill and teamwork
  • Oversee cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Manage cost controls, forecasting and inventory management
  • Review financial targets to ensure they are being met or exceeded

Executive Chef Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a comparable role, preferably within a high volume establishment
  • Experience in a Michelin or High-End Japanese Restaurant
  • A well-rounded and motivated culinary professional who can support and inspire team members
  • Detail orientated professional with excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
  • Degree in Culinary Arts is an asset
