Salary:$110,000 - $120,000 + Benefits + Vacation

Location:San Francisco, CA

We have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a renowned Sushi restaurant, boasting multiple locations across the West Coast. The company is eager to welcome an Executive Sushi Chef on board to contribute to creating an inspiring culinary experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily culinary operations.
  • Ensure quality of products and service.
  • Manage budget and cost controls.
  • Train all sushi staff.
  • Manage food production levels.
  • Conduct food inventories and manage P&L responsibilities.
  • Handle ordering and purchasing.
  • Cost recipes and set menu prices.
  • Develop work schedules.
  • Maintain staff uniform and cleanliness standards.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and train front-of-house staff.
  • Develop specials and menu items based on seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensure proper food safety practices.
  • Maintain and repair kitchen equipment.

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably sushi experience
  • Well-rounded and motivated culinary leader who can hold their own in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to differentiate various tastes, such as sweet and bitter flavors
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
