How was the re-opening of your business and how was it carried out in line with safety procedures put in place to allow social distancing? 

I work with a burger business that went from take away only to add eat in and we reduced the tables, had stickers on the floor to show people where to queue, had hand gel dispensers in the store and enforced the face mask rule for people who were standing

How is the general feeling and feedback from your team members and your customers now the lockdown is over? 

We were able to bring some staff back full time and customers appreciated the opportunity to eat in.

What role has technology played in supporting your re-opening plan? 

The business is already tech savvy with remote ordering kiosks and click and collect via a mobile app

What market trends are you seeing since re-opening? 

We have seen a greater shift towards delivery and click & collect

What techniques have you used to build sales and re-engage customers?

We have introduced a loyalty scheme and a saver menu

What positive lessons do we need to learn from what the industry has been through? 

The need to be more agile in decision making and to be ready to make changes to the way in which we operate
