Tell us a little about your career journey leading to where you are now.
My career has been defined by leading transformation, driving growth, and building high-performing teams. From early on, I was drawn to complex challenges, international markets, and digital innovation. I have led business expansions across multiple countries, optimized global operations, and spearheaded digital transformation in diverse industries.
As General Director at Sulzer Spain, I oversee strategic growth, operational excellence, and innovation at scale. I thrive in dynamic environments where technology, leadership, and strategy intersect to create sustainable success.
Looking ahead, I am eager to contribute my expertise at board level, helping companies navigate digitalization, operational efficiency, and cultural transformation, while ensuring diverse and inclusive leadership.
What does the International Women’s Day slogan “accelerate action” mean for you?
It’s about moving from conversation to execution. True change happens when leaders actively challenge biases, break barriers, and implement real solutions—mentorship, policy change, and executive sponsorship are crucial.
How important is it for women to lift each other up, and what does that mean to you?
Non-negotiable. Leadership isn’t just personal success—it’s about creating opportunities for others. When women support each other, we amplify impact, increase representation, and replace competition with collaboration. I lead by example—mentoring, advocating, and lifting others up.
How important is diversity across senior leadership teams?
Diversity isn’t just about fairness—it’s about performance, innovation, and resilience. Companies with diverse leadership outperform their competitors, make better strategic decisions, and are more adaptable to market changes. But diversity must go beyond tokenism—it requires inclusive cultures, equal opportunities, and leadership accountability.
Senior leadership: 26%, C-suite: 19%, 1 in 4: Chief-level. What do these numbers represent to you?
Progress is happening, but not fast enough. Studies show companies with 30% female leadership excel financially, yet the numbers don’t reflect the talent available. We must accelerate—removing biases, restructuring leadership pipelines, and ensuring equal access to executive roles
As a successful leader, how do you think (business) leaders can accelerate action toward closing the gender gap and ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace?
Can you share your top tips for entrepreneurial/managerial/leadership success?
What is the most important advice you would give to a woman starting a leadership career?
Believe in your abilities and the value you bring. Leadership is not about waiting for opportunities—it’s about recognizing your potential and creating them. Trust in your growth, develop your skills, and surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you. Build a strong network, seek out mentors and sponsors, and remember that resilience and continuous learning will shape your path. Every step forward, no matter how small, is a step toward the leader you aspire to be.
Have there been role models in your life (personal or professional) who have helped shape you as a leader?
I have been shaped by visionary leaders—those who challenge the status quo, make bold decisions, and drive meaningful impact. But beyond individuals, my greatest lessons have come from the teams I’ve led, the diverse cultures I’ve worked with, and the challenges I’ve overcome. Leadership is about adaptability, learning, and evolving through experience. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside exceptional professionals whose insights, collaboration, and drive have continuously shaped my own leadership journey.
