CORE Profile

My career in hospitality started the first moment I was legally able to get a job in the UK. I did a work experience placement through school and before I knew it, I was about to embark on a management in-training pathway at the age of 18. However, this was short-lived as I decided to take a risk and move away to work within seasonal events in Spain. A few summers on, I returned to the UK and continued to work within the late-night sector at clubs and pubs casually / part-time alongside running my own business within the hair and beauty industry.

COREcruitment was introduced to me by a good friend and I’m forever grateful for that introduction. It’s been an interesting journey so far but I couldn’t be more excited for the future.

I started out at the entry-level as a Recruitment Administrator, completely new to recruitment but not to hospitality. I was very quickly trained and developed by the team and moved into a Finance position, and as quickly as I moved into finance, I moved internally again to look after all central operations for our London team. “Operations” at CORE is a forever changing and very dynamic “department” that essentially supports the entire team in London and Internationally, I also head up all internal talent acquisition as a sideline 😉

I used to describe Operations and “doing everything” but was recently corrected by someone that clarified “Operations doesn’t do everything; they ensure everything gets done”

CORE Q & A

What do you enjoy most?

There are simply too many facets to my role I don’t think I could choose one part that I enjoy the most. There's nothing I don’t enjoy, let's put it that way. Organising and executing CORE Networking Events does give me a lot of satisfaction, but also seeing my team grow and develop their careers at CORE is exciting for me.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I am still quite young for your information 😉 for a long time I always fancied being cabin crew as I loved travelling and thought it looked super glamourous.

What do you do when you're not at work?

Often found on the dancefloor (sadly it used to be until the sun comes up but more often than not it's now until the sun goes down!), drinking exceptionally good coffee or planning world domination.
