Rupert Gatehouse

CORE Profile

I’ve always had a knack for having a chinwag with people, so it makes sense that most of the work I’ve done in my life has centred around having conversations. Perhaps I could have been a detective. Maybe in another life!

Instead, I’ve worked across the hospitality industry in various sales roles and most recently, as a cocktail bartender across 100s of events in the UK, Europe and Middle East. It’s here that my love for getting to know people really took shape. I also acquired a deep understanding of all things liquid. I know what makes a good drink.

So, moving into recruitment within the drinks FMCG category seemed like an obvious extension to my career. The category is absolutely booming and there is some amazing stuff out there. I am eagerly looking forward to building relationships with great companies and to ultimately help them find the people who will make a difference to their growing businesses.

CORE Q & A

What do you enjoy most?

I studied film at Leeds University, so I’m a big film guy. Heading down to The Prince Charles Cinema in Soho to watch a classic flick with friends is quite hard to beat.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

Well as you may of guessed from my previous answer, a film director!

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I’m a big sports guy as well, so I enjoy watching and playing types of all sorts. Also, a decent pub with decent beer is always a winner.
