Financial Controller – Multi-Site Restaurant Group

Location: London
Sector: Hospitality
Salary: Up to £90k

Love getting under the skin of a restaurant business, partnering with Operations and turning financial insight into real commercial impact?

We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to join an exciting, fast-growing restaurant group with ambitious expansion plans.

This is more than a traditional FC role. You’ll combine strong financial control with close business partnering, operational collaboration and the implementation of robust financial controls across a growing multi-site restaurant estate.

Working closely with the Finance Director and Operations teams, you’ll help improve site performance, protect margins and build the financial processes needed to support the business as it scales.

A snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Own month-end, management accounts, site-level P&Ls and KPI reporting.
  • Partner with Operations to challenge performance, identify opportunities and drive commercial improvements.
  • Monitor gross profit, wastage, stock, labour costs and site-level margins.
  • Implement and embed robust financial controls, improving processes, accuracy and accountability across the estate.
  • Oversee revenue controls, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
  • Manage statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and lease accounting (IFRS 16).
  • Lead and develop the finance team while supporting new site openings and business growth.

What we’re looking for:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with at least five years’ post-qualified experience.
  • Essential: proven experience within the restaurant sector.
  • Strong track record of business partnering with Operations in a multi-site environment.
  • Experience implementing financial controls and improving processes.
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 16, alongside a strong commercial understanding of margins, stock and labour costs.
  • Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
