We are seeking a proactive sales professional who thrives on generating new business, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role is ideal for someone with a strong events background who is equally comfortable leading from the front and developing a high-performing team.

As Sales & Events Manager, you will lead a small events team while taking ownership of the venue's sales strategy and business development efforts. This is a highly commercial position with significant earning potential through a strong commission structure.

Responsibilities

  • Drive proactive sales activity to generate new event enquiries and business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, agencies, event bookers, and key stakeholders
  • Utilise existing industry contacts and networks to secure new business
  • Conduct outbound sales activity, including cold calling and targeted business development
  • Lead, motivate, and support a small events team
  • Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to contract confirmation
  • Maximise revenue opportunities across all event spaces
  • Create and implement strategies to increase event bookings and occupancy
  • Follow up consistently on leads and enquiries to ensure maximum conversion
  • Work closely with operational teams to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience within event sales, hospitality sales, venue sales, or private members' clubs
  • Strong track record of generating new business and exceeding revenue targets
  • Confident networker with excellent relationship-building skills
