Fabian Brighi

CORE Profile

At 14, I started selling pots and pans at the market where I grew up in Italy and quickly realised I the two things I enjoyed out of work - people and the sales! I got itchy feet when I turned 20 so I packed up my stuff and moved to London for the winter - over 13 years later and I’m still here.

I started out in hospitality, taught myself English and gradually moved into restaurant management. Over the past 10 years, I’ve managed several different types of restaurants - one of which CORE placed me in!

I’d been thinking about leaving hospitality and was waiting for the right role when an opportunity came up with COREcruitment - I’ve always thought they were great to work with and was interested in seeing the other side so I jumped at the chance when it was offered.

In 2023, I decided to take a gamble, leave my comfort zone and see how far I can go. I can’t wait to see what the future holds with CORE!

CORE Q & A

What do you do when you are not at work?

Anything active - cycling around London, a good CrossFit sesh, long walks, but always ending with a cold beer and a big meal!

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I had a bit of a passion for football when I was a kid and would have LOVED to become a professional footballer, skills weren’t quite there alas so I had to come up with another plan!

What do you enjoy most?

The first bite of the best pancakes, the first sip of the first espresso early in the morning, the sunrise at 5am when no one else is around, that feeling you get after a cracking workout or that peace you feel after a great yoga class.
