How was the re-opening of your business and how was it carried out in line with safety procedures put in place to allow social distancing?
The reopening was like a perfect mix of excitement and uncertainty. We made sure we all followed the government directions trying not to make things too uncomfortable towards the customers.
How is the general feeling and feedback from your team members and your customers now the full lockdown has eased?
The general feeling and feedback from the staff and the customers was a sense of relief and a desperate “need” of normality.
What role has technology played in supporting your re-opening plan
Technology helped a lot of course. We can easily now trace bookings, scan menus or simply measure the temperature of each and every customer with a laser gun.
What market trends are you seeing since re-opening?
Market trends i see growing at the moment are obviously social media...things like live cooking class, general streaming about catering businesses and the unprecedented growth of food service apps.
What positive lessons do we need to learn from what the industry has been through?
Do not take things for granted is the biggest lesson I have learnt on these unprecedented time...and on a personal level that I love my job and i wouldn’t change it for anything else.
