A global leading catering and events business with a focus around large scale venues, conferencing and events, hospitality and retail.
The Project
Our worldwide operating client approached us to support on their growth across the UK, with huge expansion plans for new venues and projects they wanted our help with senior and specialist level recruitment that would be upcoming in the near future.
Due to the confidentiality and timelines of their potential new contracts, briefs and roles had not been fully share, so we have been asked us to proceed with a speculative search in sourcing suitable candidates that would allow them to forward plan and build their recruitment strategy around great talent.
The Approach
Although they are a client we have worked with for years and we are familiar with their business, it was imperative that we took the time to really understand in what areas they were looking to grow, the type of experiences and backgrounds that would be beneficial to this, and their company culture.
We have built a strong relationship and connected with people from different areas of their business getting as much insight as possible to help us match suitable candidates.
After obtaining all of this information we are able to pull targeted searches on our database as well as using external tools and job boards, connecting with candidates that we felt had the right background and qualities that our client was looking for. Once we had gone through a screening process and decided they could be good fit, it wasn’t as simple as being able to brief the candidates on a role, we talked through the company with them in detail and explained their growth plans and the process we were going through to source top talent and see if they were open to a speculative meeting to open up the conversation about where they could be valuable in their business.
The Results
Almost every candidate that was sent across was invited for a speculative meeting, all of which were successful with either the client having potential options to discuss with them or letting them know that once an opportunity arises they would be keen for them to be in process. We have also built a huge amount of trust with our client – they really believe that we understand them as a business and will continue to work with them in this way to help build them teams of great talent across all levels.
