The Role

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across a site or portfolio of locations in Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manager with a strong background in cleaning and facilities services, who can lead teams, maintain high standards and ensure cleaning operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Manage, motivate and develop cleaning teams, including supervisors and operatives.

• Monitor performance against KPIs, SLAs and client expectations.

• Manage rotas, staffing levels, absence and holiday cover.

• Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, COSHH regulations and relevant cleaning procedures.

• Manage cleaning equipment, materials and stock levels, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and overall performance.

About You

• Previous experience in a Cleaning Manager, Cleaning Supervisor or similar operational management role.

• Experience managing cleaning teams within facilities management, commercial cleaning or a similar environment.

• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

• A good understanding of health and safety requirements, including COSHH.

• The ability to manage budgets, staffing and operational priorities effectively.

• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

• A full UK driving licence may be beneficial, depending on the operational requirements of the role.
