Japanese Chef – New Opening (San Jose) – $80K–$100K

Our client is not just a restaurant, but a full-on culinary stage. Multi-station kitchens, open fire, guest interaction, high volume, high polish.

We’re opening something in that world. Big, ambitious, and built to be seen.

Looking for a Japanese Chef who can operate in that environment and help shape it from day one.

What we need:

  • Strong Japanese background (sushi, omakase, robata, modern)
  • Comfortable in an open, guest-facing kitchen
  • High-level experience (upscale, high-volume, or both)
  • Leader who can build a team and set standards early
  • Sharp on quality, detail, and systems

What you’ll do:

  • Help drive menu execution and refinement
  • Lead the kitchen through opening and beyond
  • Build a disciplined, performance-driven culture
  • Own consistency, product, and daily ops

This isn’t a back-of-house role. It’s front and center. Big stage, big expectations, real growth.
