Senior Commercial Finance Analyst
Posted 2 weeks ago
A fast-growing transport hub with a modern terminal and direct links to London and Europe is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to provide the analysis behind the hub's operations (parking, F&B, rail and retail concessions) and turn it into action.
You’ll sit in the Commercial Finance team, work closely with the commercial teams, and be expected to propose changes and see them through, not just hand over a report.
The role is suitable for someone with a finance background who wants to move into a commercial role.
This role is based in the office 4 days p/week, with 1 day working from home.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain models and forecasts for non-aero revenue, with clear commentary on what the numbers mean
- Run scenario and sensitivity analysis to support pricing and commercial decisions
- Monitor occupancy, booking trends, passenger forecasts and competitor pricing to plan and improve parking performance
- Manage dynamic pricing, promotions and inventory across parking products
- Work with commercial teams and external retail operators to understand performance and identify revenue opportunities
- Draft proposals for improvements, put them into action and track the results against a baseline
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting in Power BI
What you’ll bring
- Experience in commercial finance, FP&A or a pricing/revenue analyst role
- Strong modelling and forecasting skills, with advanced Excel
- Comfort working with large volumes of transactional data
- A hands-on approach: you’re happy to build the model, write the proposal and follow it through
- Power BI or similar, or a willingness to learn
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA is welcome, as is a business or finance degree (both desirable, not essential)
- Experience in a volume-transaction environment such as retail, hospitality, leisure, transport or parking is helpful, but sector knowledge isn’t required
