  • Working with a small restaurant group to support them as they look to list on an alternative market.
  • We spent time speaking with the executive leadership to map where their board was and truly identify what needs they had and broad purpose going forward.
  • As the business was looking to list and at the time the board was dominated but current investors, it was determined that finding a NED who could either lead the board or drive the financial decision-making at the board level would support both the business and the founder's ambitions. 
  • We delivered a dual search, seeking to identify both chair people and Finance Focused NED’s 
  • We worked backwards, using market information to identify businesses and individuals who had gone on a similar journey.
  • We created a dual shortlist and market mapping to allow comparison of different individuals across the two skill areas.
  • Top candidates from both the Chairperson and NED shortlists were identified. 
  • After the first round of interviews, it was identified that focusing on a Non-executive with a Finance background would be the best fit for the business. 
  • The interview process includes formal discussion, discussions with investors and quality time with the founder and team.
  • The majority of interviews took place across a 2-month period, moving from shortlisting to focused meetings with 1 candidate within the 1st month.
