On a mission to change how people see fast food, super quality product and strong operating model.
We were originally contacted in conjunction with an international recruitment drive (focussing on UK expats) to provide restaurant manager level candidates with relevant QSR experience in the UK.
The client travelled to the UK to use our office space to interview potential candidates. Outcome from this process: 3 General Managers and 1 Assistant Manager, hired for the PICKL team in Dubai.
The need to grow PICKL’s head office team became apparent, we were briefed on a country head for Dubai and a People Director.
After a search and 3 rounds of interviews including one face to face here in London, both roles were filled by CORE.
The need for another round of restaurant management due to growth in the business, client visit over from Dubai and hired another 4 managers to relocate to Dubai from the UK.
Candidates needed to have a strong background in branded QSR operations with a “hands on” approach. Candidates also had to be in position to be available to relocate to Dubai
As the industry is highly competitive, the client wanted to ensure their high standards would be maintained and/or improved by sourcing new and highly skilled professionals with specific expertise across the branded food lead business’s here in the UK.
Our Retail consultants led this search, one on contingency restaurant manager level and the other leading the Head office recruitment.
With a targeted approach across the UK in all major cities, we needed to speak to QSR leaders who can relocate internationally.
We also compiled a list of candidates from COREcruitment’ s own network as well as individuals that had been referred to us. In addition, we used targeted advertising campaigns and utilised marketing techniques to draw in only the most highly skilled and relevant of candidates.
We then ensured that each person put forward for a role not only had an outstanding and stable career history, but also impeccable industry knowledge and skills that would be transferrable.
After a dedicated search and pre-screening from our account leads, we set up open days for when the client was visiting from Dubai. With each visit the client was provided with ten candidates to see across the two days.

Over the space of this year long project CORE has successfully recruited 9 people into the business to enable growth in Dubai for PICKL, including a country lead and People Director.
In this partnership, COREcruitment has demonstrated how they tackle both contingency lower-level management and head office support.
