What does IWD mean to you? 

International Women’s Day is about creating a gender equal world. Celebrating the accomplishments, we have made so far and committing to action where opportunities still exist. 

Why haven't we achieved equality, despite legislation in place regarding pay?

A values misalignment exists. 

How would you advise young women leaders on how to build confidence in their ability as a manager and leader? 

I recommend hiring a coach. Everyone has different needs when it comes to building confidence. A coach ensures you can create personalized action plans to accomplish your goals and work through challenges and blind spots. 

What initiatives should companies invest in to promote women in leadership and an inclusive workplace? 

Companies should invest in resources to create and fulfil DEI commitments. These investments could include an audit, DEI resources, ERG resources, and support (Coaching/Mentorships/EAP)

Is there a particular leader/figure you look up to? 

I have many leaders I have looked up to throughout my life. In terms of a public figure, I look up to Rihanna as she continues to own her worth, amplify women, and grow her business to support women worldwide. 

What advice will you give to your younger self?

Take a Values Assessment! Confidence comes from knowing your values and energizing your values aligned decisions
